The California Bar Examination
I just got back from taking the California Bar Examination in San Mateo. Dat one long buggah-- tree days, yah? Got uku big words, li' "collateral estoppel" and "res judicata." Answered dat one: "Sistah no can, cuz da kine wen pau." Get grade 100 garanz.
Thoughts upon stepping off plane from Honolulu (72F/81F degrees, no dominant racial group) and finding myself in San Francisco 40F/55F):
1. IT'S FUCKING COLD.
2. White people are BIG.
3. Who planted those poor fucking palm trees and didn't put comforters around them?!
4. IT'S FUCKING COLD.
5. There's a racetrack here?? And the horses race NAKED? In *this* weather?
6. None of dese restaurants got Spam. (It's true I'm a vegetarian, but as a Hawaii resident, indignation is appropriate on principle.)
7. Hey-- This bookstore is ~good.~
8. (Watching news shot of surfers near Golden Gate Bridge) Nine guys in WETSUITS paddling out for THAT pisswash??!
9. Even if there were any fragrant flowers here to smell, my nostrils have frozen shut.
10. Hey-- This place is kind of ~COOL.~
